As part of an immediate response to news that several Lake Zurich students tested positive for COVID-19 this week, the Illinois Department of Public health will host a mobile COVID-19 test site on Sunday at Lake Zurich High School, 300 Church St. from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Testing is free and available to anyone who believes he or she may be experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or may have been exposed to someone with the virus. Mobile testing will also be available on July 19, at the same location.
“Time is of the essence. We are recommending that any Lake Zurich community members who may have been exposed, regardless of age, get tested,” said Dr. Sana Ahmed, Medical Epidemiologist at the Lake County Health Department. “This will help us identify positive cases and slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community.”
Testing is free and open to all. According to the Lake County Health Department, you do not need to be a student, faculty, staff, or family member to get tested. A phone number and name are required in order to receive testing results. Photo identification and proof of insurance are helpful, but not required.
Interested parties are required to bring a photo ID, and will be reached by phone with results. For more information, click here.
